Pipe End Forming Machine — TM Series, Single Head
The TM series is a hydraulic pipe end forming machine for tubes from Ø40 mm to Ø100 mm with wall thicknesses up to 2.0 mm. Four models, each available with one, two, or three forming stations, so a part that needs reducing, then expanding, then chamfering is completed in a single cycle rather than three handlings.
PLC control with hydraulic drive. The mobile foot switch carries automatic start and emergency stop, keeping both of the operator’s hands on the part during continuous production.
Forming Operations
Reducing. Swaging the end down so the tube slips inside the next section — the standard joint in furniture frames, scaffolding and exhaust assemblies.
Expanding. Belling the end out to receive another tube, or forming a socket for welding.
Flanging and flaring. Turning a lip for sealing faces, hose connections and heat exchanger plates.
Chamfering and end truing. Squaring and deburring the cut end before the next operation.
Which operations a machine performs is set by the tooling, not by the press. Two machines with identical specifications will do completely different jobs depending on the dies fitted, which is why we quote tooling with the machine rather than after it.

How Many Stations Do You Need?
Count the distinct forming operations on one end of your part. A tube that is simply reduced needs one station. A tube that is reduced and then chamfered needs two. A tube reduced, expanded at a shoulder and then chamfered needs three.
With a single-station machine you can still produce a multi-operation part — by running the batch through once per operation, changing the die between passes. That works, and for low volumes it is the cheaper route. It costs you a die change and a second handling of every piece.
Multi-station pays back where the same part number runs regularly. Send us the finished end drawing and your annual volume, and we will tell you which configuration is worth the difference.
Thin Wall Tube, Not Schedule Pipe
The 2.0 mm wall rating applies across all four models. That covers welded and drawn tube used in furniture, fitness equipment, automotive exhaust, HVAC and scaffolding — the great majority of end forming work.
It does not cover Schedule 40 or Schedule 80 pipe, where wall thickness runs two to four times higher. If your part is heavy-wall pipe, say so before ordering and we will tell you plainly whether we can help rather than stretching a specification to close a sale.

Die sets are specific to tube diameter, wall and the finished form. Changeover is quick, which matters when a workshop runs several part numbers through the same machine in a shift. Send the drawing of each finished end you intend to produce and we will quote the full tooling package with the machine.
Installation and operator training are available on site or remotely by video call. Wear items and hydraulic seals ship from stock. Warranty is [n] months on the machine and [n] months on the control system.

What does a pipe end forming machine do?
It reshapes the end of a tube — reducing, expanding, flaring, flanging or chamfering — so the part can join to the next component without a separate fitting. The die determines the form; the machine supplies the force.
Can it handle stainless steel?
Yes, though stainless work-hardens during forming and needs more force than carbon steel at the same wall. Send your grade and wall thickness and we will confirm which model suits.
Can one machine run several tube sizes?
Yes, with a die set for each size, up to the machine’s rated diameter. List every size you plan to run so the quote covers the tooling you actually need.
Is this a CNC machine?
No. It is PLC-controlled with hydraulic drive. Forming position is set by the die and the stroke limit rather than by a stored program, which is simpler and more robust for what end forming requires.
Do you also supply double head machines?
Yes. A double head machine forms both ends in the same cycle, which halves handling on parts needing the same operation at each end. Head spacing is set to your part length.
How long is delivery?
