2 Inch Pipe Bending Machine — DWCNC89

2 Inch Pipe Bending Machine — DWCNC89

The DWCNC89 is a CNC automatic 2 inch pipe bending machine rated to Ø89 × 4 mm in carbon steel. Two-inch NPS pipe has an outside diameter of 60.3 mm, and at that size the machine covers every schedule from Sch 40 through XXS with margin to spare.

It is also the fastest machine in the series. Feed runs to 800 mm/sec and rotation to 150°/sec, because there is far less mass to accelerate than on the larger models. On high-volume parts with many short segments between bends, that is where the unit cost comes down.

Capacity on 2 Inch Pipe

2″ schedule Wall Carbon steel
Sch 40 / STD 3.91 mm Yes, large margin
Sch 80 / XS 5.54 mm Yes
Sch 160 8.74 mm Yes
XXS 11.07 mm Yes

Maximum centreline bend radius is 350 mm — about 5.8D on 2 inch pipe, so 3D, 4D and 5D radii are all available without reaching the machine’s limit. Minimum radius is [n] mm with mandrel tooling.

The machine also runs 2½ inch pipe in Schedule 40. Above that, 3 inch Schedule 40 exceeds the rating and belongs on the DWCNC114.

Built for Volume, Not Just Capacity

Two-inch work is usually high-volume work — furniture frames, gym equipment, handrails, exhaust systems. The parts are not expensive individually, so the economics turn on cycle time and consistency rather than on avoiding scrap of costly material.

That is what this machine is configured for. Feed and rotation are servo-driven to ±0.1 mm and ±0.1°, running from the stored program with no operator repositioning between bends. At 800 mm/sec feed and 150°/sec rotation, a multi-bend part completes in a fraction of the time an NC machine takes, and every piece comes off the same.

The control holds 500 part programs with up to 30 bends each — enough to keep a mixed-model production schedule loaded without reprogramming between batches.

Running Costs and Floor Space

Total connected load is 10.15 kW and the machine weighs 3 tonnes at 6,500 × 1,200 × 1,500 mm — the smallest and cheapest to run in the series. If 2 inch is your largest regular size, there is no reason to buy and power a machine built for 4 or 6 inch pipe.

At 3 tonnes it can be positioned with a forklift rather than a crane, which matters for workshops without overhead lifting.

Applications

Furniture and shop fittings. Chair and table frames, shelving, display racks, clothing rails.

Fitness equipment. Gym machine frames, handlebars, weight racks.

Automotive. Exhaust systems, roll cages, seat frames, bull bars.

Architectural and structural. Handrails, balustrades, gates, fencing, greenhouse and carport frames.

Plant services. Compressed air, water and hydraulic lines in 1 inch to 2½ inch pipe.

Tooling, Installation and Support

One complete die set for your specified OD and radius — bend die, clamp die, pressure die, wiper die and mandrel, with rod and linkage. Die sets are size-specific, so tell us every OD and radius you plan to run and we will quote the full package rather than the machine alone.

Installation and operator training are available on site or remotely by video call. Wear items — mandrel balls, wiper dies, seals and hydraulic filters — ship from stock. Warranty is [n] months on the machine and [n] months on the control system.

Frequently Asked Questions

What diameter is 2 inch pipe?

60.3 mm outside diameter, regardless of schedule. Only the wall thickness changes between schedules.

Can it bend 2 inch Schedule 160 and XXS?

Yes in carbon steel. Bending force scales with the section of the pipe, and at 60.3 mm diameter even XXS wall sits inside the Ø89 × 4 mm rating. Send your material grade for stainless and alloy work.

What is the largest size this machine handles?

2½ inch Schedule 40 is within range. 3 inch Schedule 40 exceeds the rating — that job needs the DWCNC114. We would rather say so now than after the order.

Can it bend square and rectangular tube?

Yes, with section-specific tooling. Send the profile dimensions, wall and required radius with your enquiry.

What is the tightest radius achievable on 2 inch pipe?

[n] mm centreline with mandrel tooling and correct wiper die setup, on suitable wall thicknesses.

How long is delivery?

Standard lead time is [n] working days after deposit and tooling confirmation.

Send your pipe OD, schedule, material grade, required bend radius and annual volume, and we will quote within 24 hours.
